What EU country reported the highest increase in industrial producer prices in July 2025?

Bulgaria reported the highest annual increase in industrial producer prices in the European Union in July 2025, with an increase of 10.7%, new data from Eurostat has shown.

According to the data, other countries to report a notable increase in industrial producer prices for the month included Denmark (+4.5%), Romania (+2.5%), Italy (+2.4%) and Sweden (+2.2%).

At the other end of the scale, several countries reported a decrease in industrial producer prices in the month, led by Estonia (-6.1%), Luxembourg (-4.5%), Portugal (-3.6%) and Lithuania (-3.1%).

Industrial producer prices across the EU

At EU level, industrial producer prices were up 0.4% on an annual basis (+0.2% in the euro area) in July 2025, and 0.6% on a month-on-month basis (+0.4% in the euro area).

On a sector-by-sector basis, meanwhile, industrial producer prices across the EU decreased by 0.1% for intermediate goods, decreased by 1.1% for energy, increased by 1.7% for capital goods, increased by 1.6% for durable consumer goods, and increased by 2.2% for non-durable consumer goods, compared to the same month the previous year.

Prices in total industry excluding energy increased by 1.0%, Eurostat noted. Read more here.
