The Euro 2024 football tournament has just kicked off in Germany, and a new study has determined that England are the favourites to lift the trophy in Berlin in a month from now.
Odds were examined from a list of popular bookmakers to determine which countries are tipped as the favourites to win the tournament, with England, losing finalists last time out, emerging on top, with average odds of 2.9/1.

Best of the rest
France, with a forward line led by stars such as Kylian Mbappe and Antonine Griezmann, is the second favourite, with average odds of 3.8/1, while Germany, the hosts, rank third, with average odds of 5.1/1.
Cristiano Ronaldo’s Portugal is the fourth favourite, with average odds of 7.8/1, with neighbours Spain ranking fifth, with odds of 8.2/1.
Other countries in the top ten include Italy (15.3/1), Belgium (16.8/1), the Netherlands (17.1/1), Croatia (39.2/1) and Denmark (42.7/1).
Fancy a flutter?
Braver souls might fancy betting for tournament outsiders Georgia, however, whose average odds come in at 532.5/1.
Other outsiders include Slovakia (470.1/1), Albania (469.1/1) and Slovenia (329/1).
