What EU country reported the biggest increase in industrial producer prices in February 2025?

Bulgaria reported the highest annual increase in industrial producer prices in the EU in February 2025, with a 19.0% increase, new data from Eurostat has revealed.

Other EU member states to see a notable annual increase in industrial producer prices included Ireland (+12.8%), Estonia (+12.7%), Denmark (+11.2%), Italy (+8.5%) and Spain (+6.7%).

At the other end of the scale, a number of EU countries reported a decline in industrial producer prices for the month, including Luxembourg (-5.6%), Lithuania (-1.5%) and France (-1.4%).

Industrial producer prices across the EU

At EU level, industrial producer prices increased by 3.1% in February 2025, compared with the same month the previous year, while in the euro area, the year-on-year increase stood at 3.0%.

On an annual basis, industrial producer prices in the EU increased across all segments, by 1.0% for intermediate goods, by 7.4% for energy, by 1.7% for capital goods, by 1.0% for durable consumer goods, and by 2.0% for non-durable consumer goods.

On a month-on-month basis, the biggest increase in industrial producer prices was seen in Estonia (+9.5%), Romania (+4.8%) and Bulgaria (+2.5%), with the largest decreases observed in Ireland (-4.9%), France and Slovakia (both -0.8%) and Slovenia (-0.5%). Read more here.
