Industrial producer prices rose by 0.6% in the EU in June 2025, compared to the same month the previous year. In the euro area specifically, industrial producer prices were also up 0.6%.
The biggest year-on-year increase in industrial producer prices was recorded in Bulgaria, which saw prices rise 8.4% in June compared to the same period a year ago, the Eurostat data showed.
This was followed by Greece (+5.0%), Italy (+3.9%), Hungary (+3.2%) and Luxembourg (+2.8%).
Several countries also reported a decline in industrial producer prices for the month, led by Estonia (-5.2%), followed by Lithuania (-2.9%), Portugal (-2.8%), Austria (-2.2%), Latvia (-2.1%) and Ireland (-2.1%).
Across the EU
On an annual basis, at EU level, intermediate goods prices rose by 0.1%, energy prices fell by 0.9%, capital goods rose by 1.7%, durable consumer goods by 1.3%, and non-durable consumer goods by 2.2%. Excluding energy, prices increased by 1.1%.
Looking at the data on a month-to-month basis, overall industrial producer prices rose by 0.7% in the EU and 0.8% in the euro area in June 2025, compared to the previous month.
On a segment-by-segment level, intermediate goods prices rose by 0.1% month-on-month, energy prices fell by 0.9%, capital goods rose by 1.7%, durable consumer goods by 1.3%, and non-durable consumer goods by 2.2%. Excluding energy, prices increased by 1.1%. Read more here.
