Estonia reported the highest annual inflation rate in the euro area in June 2025, of 5.2%, according to the latest flash estimates from Eurostat.
Other countries to report an above-average annual inflation rate for the month included
Slovakia (4.6%), Croatia (4.4%), Latvia (4.0%) and Greece (3.6%), the data showed.
At the other end of the scale, Cyprus reported an annual inflation rate of just 0.5%, with France on 0.8% and Ireland on 1.6%.
Annual inflation in euro area
In June, annual inflation in the euro area rose slightly to 2.0%, up from 1.9% in May, according to the flash estimates.
In terms of the main components of inflation, services reported the highest annual inflation rate, of 3.3%, a slight rise from 3.2% in May. Food, alcohol, and tobacco reported an annual inflation rate of 3.1%, marginally down from 3.2% the previous month.
Elsewhere, non-energy industrial goods reported an inflation rate of 0.5%, compared to 0.6% the previous month, while energy prices remained negative, at -2.7%, compared to -3.6% in May.
On a month-on-month basis, the biggest increase in inflation was reported in Greece (1.3%), followed by Estonia (1.1%), Malta (1.1%) and Croatia (0.8%), the flash estimates showed. One euro area country, Finland, reported a month-on-month decline in inflation, of 0.2%.
